Last September 27, 2019 22 Prime in partnership with Happy Living launched its first ever experiential dinner event called Blind Pairing. Staying true to its name, much of the pairing concept could be attributed to in-house sommelier, Giolo Racelis’ experience.
“Blind Pairing is based on the idea of Blind Tasting which is usually done in the form of a competition or as an exam for sommeliers. They would give us glasses of wine without labels and we had to rely solely on our palate to distinguish and characterize them. Seeing how much I enjoyed the mystery behind this exercise, I wanted to create our own version in 22 Prime which I think would be a great experience for our guests.” he says.
Guests had an enjoyable and highly informative experience. They were greatly intrigued by this innovative dinner concept as they were able to discover new flavors as well as their own taste profile. Apart from the new experience, guests also mentioned that the 4-course menu paired with 6 different wines definitely stole the show.
