About The Chefs

Chef Atibet "Darf" Tachasuwanchai is a passionate Thai culinary innovator with deep roots in the restaurant industry. Growing up in a family that operated one of the most popular restaurants in his province, he was immersed in the art of cooking from a young age. His formal culinary journey began at Dusit Thani College, one of Thailand’s premier institutions for hospitality and culinary arts.

Eager to expand his skills, Chef Atibet gained international experience in the United States, refining his techniques in a professional kitchen setting. In 2019, he took a bold step by opening his own Thai restaurant in the Philippines, The Thai Plate. His restaurant quickly became a go-to destination for authentic Thai cuisine, beloved by both locals and tourists.

Discovery Suites' Executive Chef Albee Dedal's culinary journey began at the age of 10, inspired by his father, a gifted cook. From the start, he developed an intuitive understanding of working with market vendors and became highly attuned to the art of cost-conscious cooking. His professional career took off in 2007 at Jumeirah International in Dubai, where he trained across various sister hotels, including a prestigious 7-star luxury property, honing his skills in a world-class environment. 

His next chapter took him to Saudi Arabia as a Chef de Partie, followed by a role as Japanese Chef and Sous Chef in the Maldives, where he won multiple accolades—1 gold and 1 silver at Hotel Asia, as well as a gold medal at Food & Hospitality Asia in 2014. In 2017, he returned to the Philippines, where he worked with renowned hotel chains. He now leads the culinary team at Discovery Suites, where his passion for culinary excellence continues to thrive.

With a vibrant personality, a constant thirst for learning, and a calm, composed demeanor, Chef Albee is dedicated to crafting exceptional dishes and delivering unforgettable dining experiences that leave a lasting impression on every guest.
