Staying vigilant is probably one of the most important things to do in this pandemic, besides limiting your movement to the walls of your own home. We can never be too complacent when it comes to our safety, so we came up with a simple 4-step checklist for overall home health and safety.
- Get up to date and informed from reputable sources like the World Health Organization and the Department of Health.
- Create an emergency contact list including the following:
- Healthcare Services
- Household Resources
- Contact Persons
- Choose a room in your house that can be used to separate sick household members.
- Have marked plates, glasses, and utensils available.
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Avoid touch eyes, nose, ears, and mouth.
- Disinfect common contact points regularly.
- Develop your own household safety protocols, especially for those assigned to go out of the house for essentials or work.
- Stay at home and speak to a healthcare provider if you develop the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- If someone is sick at home, confine them in a room separate from the children and elderly.
