It’s not every year that you get to have a grand celebration for your birthday. For girls particularly, debuts were more often than not the culminating night of these celebrations that were characterised with much grandeur. However, this did not stop Girltrends member, Chie Filomeno from throwing an Instagramable birthday bash at Discovery Suites as she turned 23. Here’s a list of everything note-worthy about that night:
1. #TwentyChie
The birthday celebrant was very hands on with the planning of her 23rd birthday. She even personally came up with the event hashtag, #TwentyChie.
2. Pink Instagram Wonderland
Initially, the event did not have a theme. However, as the birthday bash grew closer event stylist Michael Ruiz and event coordinator Kim Torres took inspiration from Chie’s proposed birthday outfit and decided to go with a pink on pink on pink set-up.
3. Outfit
Chie donned a custom Boom Sason ensemble that made her look like an angel. The white dress definitely made her stand out in contrast to the pink motif.
4. Guests
Chie wanted to keep her birthday bash “intimate”, inviting only the closest family and friends although that did not keep her party from being star studded. Apart from Hayden Kho and Vicki Belo, Issa Pressman, Julia Barretto, Sam Concepcion and rising star Marco Gumabao also made an appearance.
5. Collaborators
Fun Fact: The team behind Chie’s birthday only had two weeks to plan, conceptualize and execute the entire event.
